It's £25 for an hour of fooling around and no one is really that strict on the time (or the no drinks policy it seems). Lovely surroundings and friendly atmosphere. I have rented a boat twice in the past three years and always had a lovely time.

I’ve been meaning to go here for a while to have a wee row on the lake, it all looks idyllic, but after what I saw today I won’t be. There is ZERO customer care from the crew here. I saw a family, in absolute distress screaming out for help and the THREE staff members that I could see on duty stood and watched. Honestly irresponsible and dangerous behaviour and leaves me in no doubt that they don’t have any plan in place for such eventualities. Neither of the two young children were in life jackets, meaning things could have gotten very scary very quickly. Absolute disgrace.

Far too expensive for solo exercise rowers - £25 for one hour compared to £12 in Hyde Park and £8 in Battersea Park. Presumably a policy to discourage one person taking up a boat. With Hyde and Regents Parks' boating currently closed and Battersea weekend only until the school holidays, this is the only weekday option but not at that price.

Victoria Park Lake is one of the main attractions of this spectacular urban park! The majestic silver-lining water with waterjet fountain sparkling in the glorious sunshine ☀ works as a magnet for visitors! This is mainly now a boating lake. Once upon a time, it used to be Angling Lake! There are two different types of boats available for hire - Dinghy Rowing Boat & Peddal Boats provided by Regal Boat Hire! You can go very close to the islands, bridges and Chinese Pagoda! Boating on the lake gives a completely different perspective from the water. It has small islands with plenty of wildlife to explore! You can really immerse deep into the nature around the island. It's a brilliant experience! You can stop rowing the boat near to the island and free float around the lake - be mindful of strong current as it may take you to the edges of the lake or island! There is a very useful information board with pictures displaying the type of birds are likely to be found at the lake. It is very useful for children identifying the birds, ducks and swans - learning about the nature & wildlife in a fun treasure hunting way! The stuff are helpful and friendly. However, their service could be improved substantially by providing more information about the boat and how to row/pedal a boat. Safety Instructions seems to be inadequate!
