Toward the end of a building project, we received our tile delivery. When something went wrong in our communication with Arkadia over this order, I went in to talk to them and was met with some of the most aggressive behaviour I have ever encountered. I left the shop and my husband received a series of emails shortly afterward initiated by the owner which was so abusive in content that we decided to not continue to engage with him or pursue the issue further and to swallow the loss instead. At that point in the project, it was less important to continue to fight than it was to finish the project with another supplier. I highly recommend Checkalow Tiles whose customer service was a balm after this experience. Edited to add - the owners response to this review is a good example of the service we received - my husband did not visit the shop, I did, and only once in response to this tile issue. The emails were instigated by the owner to my husband after my visit - inappropriate in and of itself not to deal with me. The issue was not a variation in the colour of the tiles due to their handmade nature, but due to the fact that we'd ordered in good faith from an incorrect sample we had been given (we requested the samples in writing and were given the wrong one). We have the email trail to prove all the above.
