I went on several visits with my guinea pig to the Vets4Pets in Charlton and Blackheath since May last year. My poor boy has an eye problem and he has been prescribed antibiotics, eye drops, and had swabs done, among others. I kept going there since I got him until a few weeks ago. However, no one was able to help him, despite the medication and numerous visits. Furthermore, I was unable to obtain a referral to a specialist because my last visit was almost a month ago. During my guinea pig's last visit, he became very paranoid, and when I took him out of the cage, he was screaming as if he had broken something for two days, I couldn't calm him down (he had enough). They asked me to come back for a check-up in case he had an infection, which is quite concerning considering we have been dealing with the same problem for ten months. After the check-up, they could provide a referral. I am extremely disappointed in how unhelpful this clinic is when it comes to my small pet. They literally made me feel like my guinea pig is just another test subject for them.

Had an appointment and I was waiting without being seen to. Others came and left and I was still waiting. No explanation. I think they had a technical hitch / didn’t feel it important to administer the treatment. Then had reception to tell me that they had an emergency after I went up to them second time to find out the delay. I will be looking for another vet .

The most unprofessional vet I’ve ever been to, do not go here. A few months ago they cancelled my appointment on the day of and almost cost me my entire holiday that I had planned as I wasn't able to get my cat the vaccinations she needed. I ended up going to medivet which was A LOT better. The only reason I came back here was because its right next to where I live, I booked an appointment to get my cats nails trimmed as she is very difficult about it. You would think they are prepared to handle a cat who doesnt like getting their nails cut but they are NOT. First of all they had me hold her, the vet was scared of her (she’s not scary at all just wants to get away) and barely able to cut her back paws. She then had the receptionist come in and hold her cos she was too scared to cut her from paws. They were both terrified and gave up in about 5 minutes. I was a little bit shocked by their lack of skill but thought surely they wouldn’t charge me. Shockingly the receptionist charged me £20 and when I tried to say they only did half of the job so I’d like to pay for half, they told me they don't do discounts and that I should pay in full because my cat had scratched the receptionist. The most ridiculous service I’ve ever seen and not even any kind of understanding for me when I didn’t want to pay the full price. Will never be returning to this place and based on the other reviews no one else should either. There are way better vets out there for your pets!
