Hugely extortionate! We were not allowed to go in with our dog when the vet examined her??? The vet then came out to talk to us and a nurse then brought our dog out. £402. Nurse and vet were pleasant. Our insurance company have never come across such a high consultation fee - £296.50! The highest she had come across including in London was £240. Vets sadly are not regulated. I was told I had a choice of not bringing my dog in, well actually you are using an out of hours vet because you need to.

They looked after my dog so well, and explained clearly all they were doing, and the suspected problems with her.

Ok so let’s start with the positive lady on reception and vet nurse are amazing. That’s about all. £290 to walk through the door and a 3 hour wait for the privilege (before they say otherwise no emergency was brought in.) Vet was a doom merchant told me my dog could have a tumour wanted to put her on a drip (she wasn’t dehydrated) was happily drinking. Wanted to charge me another £300 for blood and £150 for scan. Got very very cross when I said no and I wanted to see my own vet before I made any decision. Had her scanned in the end nothing!!!! Has a virus a sickness bug £700 later worst experience ever. If I could give no stars I would. Advice to vet.. try to be kinder it’s not all about money. Sometimes there is a back story.

My little girl Ciri 🐶 had to go to Vets Now for an overnight stay following a major surgery on her stomach. Needless to say I was nervous about her being away for the night, particularly in such a fragile state, but the guys at Vets Now were fantastic and really put my mind at ease, especially Victoria. Unfortunately when Ciri is at the vet she often has to be muzzled due to her nervousness that can result in reactiveness, but Victoria was happy not to muzzle her and said she even didn't have to wear it all night. She was very patient and calm with her during the assessment and admission process and I am confident that this continued through the night. Not an experience I would want to have again, but if I had to it would definitely be with these guys!

£300 to clean and inspect paw wound. No bandages or antibiotics or painkillers. On a Saturday before 5pm. God knows what it would have cost if some treatment had been necessary. Usual consultation fee at my vet is £48. Fair enough to double it for 'out of hours'. Or maybe even triple it. But 5 times? Extortion.

A year ago I had the most awful experience at this practice, to say this visit filled me with fear is an understatement. This time the staff were excellent, kind and listened to our dog’s problems. They showed care and kindness to both our dog and us. Couldn’t fault them.

Vets Now we're amazing, they looked after our very poorly Labrador so we'll, were amazingly efficient and helpful with sorting the insurance claim. Stanley made a quick recovery from pancreatitis and was able to come home the following morning, due to their swift action.
