My first contact with Vernon was by phone. He invited me to visit with my jewellery and silverware and I was made very welcome by both Vernon and Hayley. Over a cup of tea, Vernon gave a thorough appraisal and valuation of each item and agreed to try and sell them for me. He immediately inspired confidence. He is knowledgeable, professional and honest and has a very engaging personality. None of my items were particularly valuable, but Vernon invested as much time and effort into finding buyers as he would have done had they been truly valuable. He made me feel valued as a client and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him. My jewellery was sold well within the time frame outlined in the terms and conditions. Vernon kept me informed at every stage of the process and the value realised far exceeded my expectations. In addition Vernon’s commission is way below the going rate. He is passionate about his work and is more interested in achieving the best outcome for his clients than he is in lining his own pockets. So rare and refreshing in today’s cut throat world. After visiting London jewelers with my collection of unworn jewelry I felt unsure as to the way they worked so I contacted Vernon and his team which was a great move away from the trade seen in London. Vernon invited me to visit him and after a long chat with lots of great advice I instructed him to sell my items knowing he had private collectors. He kept me informed throughout the duration and within 10 days he had achieved higher prices than I was offered in London. It was a far superior style of business. Private and confidential, friendly and polite and above all a great result. I would thoroughly recommend.

I dealt with Vernon and his fantastic assistant valuers Hayley and Sarah and received first class customer service from my initial enquiry all the way through. It can be difficult to find reputable companies online but Vernon Ward is certainly that and much more. My journey from Bedfordshire to Sussex was well worth the time to meet the team in person and particularly working closely with Hayley, absolutely professional and stunningly gorgeous as well! Having been given somewhat equivocal advice from other sources regarding a few bits of jewellery and gold left over from my mother's estate, I decided to consult Vernon. Right decision. I left a message on his answer-phone and he replied almost immediately. He was affable, approachable and showed an interest, so we made an appointment there and then. He obviously knows his stuff up, down, forwards and backwards. He welcomed us, made us feel comfortable, and was immediately able to to give an opinion and a valuation on everything. Therefore I left it all in his hands, and he was able to achieve prices I would not have deemed possible for the meagre 'odds and sods' I gave him. He is highly professional. He contacts you when he says he will, he talks to you like a human being, he is honest, and he conducts business in the 'old-fashioned' way - so refreshing in this age of faceless robotic algorithms. I had thought that service like this no longer existed, but happily, in this instance, it still does. To say that I was impressed would be a supreme understatement,. He cannot be recommended too highly.
