When I came across Velvet birdcage online, I instantly fell in love with Amy and Katies’ modern designs. This for me, a not so traditional bride, revolutionised the idea of bridal gowns! I must say the 2.5 hour travel was well worth the visit! From the first appointment, we got to work straight away. Amy went above and beyond and was on call to answer my many questions. When we reached the final fitting, I didn’t want to leave. I absolutely love my dress. I didn’t want to change out of it. The entire journey from start to finish was very magical. Best decision I ever made. You won’t be disappointed.

Amy is truly an angel on earth! the ladies at velvet bird cage are just what i needed after a few awkward wedding dress fittings and a sweaty few others. Amy made me feel right at ease, and understood my style and vision for the wedding the proceeded to make the most beautiful thing i will ever wear in my life! i wish i'd started here first! The process was so easy and i was in constant contact with Amy about ideas and changes. START HERE, you will not regret it. Amy is honest, hilarious, creative and just all round a good person to know- especially when i forgot to buy a veil one week before the wedding, Amy was quick with the solutions and short cuts. She made this part of the wedding planning so easy and effortless and flattery will get you everywhere- Just a GIGANTIC thank you and if i get married again, shell be the first person i contact!

The incredible ladies at Velvet birdcage brought all my dreams to life!! The design process was so fun, from choosing the fabrics layering the colours and placing the laces. Not only did they do the wedding dress, but also the flower girls and bridesmaid two piece as well. Trust in the process you wont regret it..... absolute perfection.

My partner and I had to turn a wedding round in a few weeks due to illness…. We had the most amazing day making memories I will cherish with friends and family… to make it even more so I contacted Velvet Birdcage not expecting to even get a wedding dress sorted in such a short amount of time but I thought it was worth a call to ask. I was told.. absolutely.. come over and you shall go to the ball… The place was stunning.. fairy lights, flowers, an array of stunning gowns, I mean where do you start! I went alone as I didn’t have time to get bridesmaids and encouraged to try different styles, the help and advice off Amy was very much welcomed as she does this all the time, I had a 1st and 2nd and then Amy went to grab a dress off the rail and said.. “let’s just try this on”….. Boom… that was it, that was the dress!! Furthermore, she worked her magic reducing it down to a small size and fitted my curves.. with many a dress fitting she got it to absolute perfection… I had a dress… I felt elegant and pretty and I wasn’t even wearing make up. You know you picked well when there’s gasps from the room when you start walking down the aisle.. Thanks Amy, you made it all possible, and though it all you made me laugh and listened. What an incredible lady!! I have amazing photos to remember the events but I also have the memories of the people who made it all possible in a short space of time and Amy I’ll not forget your kindness. Karen
