I purchased a new bike (not from Velo Duo Cycles) which came with Long Reach Brake Calipers, of very poor quality, and barely stopped the bike. For those who don't know, Long Reach Brake Calipers for road bikes are very far and few between, and those that do exist, are normally of very poor quality due to the Long Reach and the cheap materials used. I contacted Velo Duo Cycles regarding the Velo Orange Grand Cru Long Reach Calipers, wondering if these would fit my bike and if they were any good. Mike came back to me almost immediately, and asked what bike I had, he then researched and looked into the specification to see if the Velo Orange would have a deep enough drop for my bike. He confirmed they will fit, I then ordered, they were delivered super quick (think it was next day even though I didn't pay for that!), fitted to my bike really easily, and I was surprised how strong they are, they are very similar to Shimano Ultegra! These new brakes bring a smile to my face, not just when I brake, but also when I look at them, as they look drop dead gorgeous, and I therfore can't leave this review without showing them off in the pictures below!! (excuse those dust particles I've been working in my garage!). I'm really happy with both the product and the service received from Mike and will definitely be in touch again in the future when I need more parts for my bike. Ordered a set of replacement hoods from this website. After tthree months of waiting, the package hasn't arrived. the tracking information is no longer available, and they have ignored all my messages and emails. They have no phone number available to call. Edit: they have a phone number, and Mike was very helpful in trying to find a solution. The phone number is only found in their facebook page.
