    We bought our Vaughan Design & Development house 'off the shelf' after Will had built it. We get so many compliments, but we also get a lot of comments from tradesmen & craftsmen on the quality of the workmanship. The house has so much style, but has the substance as well, as it functions so well. The design has been thought through so well and everything has been really considered about how someone would live in the house. I would genuinely say our quality of life has improved from living in this house! After buying the house, we asked Holly to take care of some of the interior design for us. It's such a fabulous space I wanted to get it right. I gave Holly very little instruction and she's created exactly what I was hoping for. It's very stylish and classy, understated and not at all showy. Holly also listened very much to what we said about practicality and budget. Will and Holly were also very pleasant to work with.

    Finding a good builder and decorator is harder than undertaking an actual project. After trying five different companies or individuals and being totally disillusioned I was given Will's contact details. Right from the start I knew things would be different. Firstly, he came to see me within 2 days of my call. Secondly, he came back to me with a full quote within 4 days ( The previous firm took 3 weeks by which time I had decided to go with Will). Thirdly, he spoke a language that I could understand by which I mean he communicated the task ahead very coherently. Lastly, his enthusiasm gave me enormous good vibes and this lasted throughout our 6 month project. Will's greatest strength is that he has a good understanding of the client's needs and frequently suggested very good ideas himself. His team were tidy and very professional and this was confirmed by my neighbours who had to endure a certain amount banging, drilling etc. etc. I had an extension put on the back of my house and a complete refurb which entailed a new bathroom, new cupboards, re-positioning of walls. There was a high degree of technical expertise required as the ground floor was totally opened up requiring quite a few RSJ's. The finished result is spectacular and I can't recommend Will highly enough. This is the 7th house I have had in my life so I have used quite a few different companies over the years and Vaughan Design & Development is by far the best. Will may not be the cheapest but I have learned from experience that: 1. You get what you pay for 2. You want someone who is accessible and not someone who never replies to messages or phone calls. 3. Someone who is enthusiastic and adaptable. I changed my mind on quite a few things throughout the process and there were no sharp intakes of breath. If there wasn't an immediate solution Will thought of a way around it. I would have no hesitation in recommending Vaughan Design and Development A.D
