This restaurant is not worth the money. It has a great atmosphere when you walk in but the food is a complete let down. Cold food, poor quality, cheap Indian dishes that really doesn't sum up great Indian food. I'm very disappointed really. The mains were pretty awful but the desserts were an even bigger joke. £9 for 1 gulaab jaaman and ice cream scoop.... ridiculous. Any Indian will tell you that this is the cheapest, simplist and low quality desert to give any unknowing customer. Stop ripping people off with poor quality food. Dishoom is the better place to go for great food and an even greater experience. I ate here in May 2023 with work colleagues who were equally disappointed.

I booked here for my Cousins Bridal Dinner and honestly they did not disappoint. I booked the Samsara Private Room for 11 guests and the whole experience was perfect. The restaurant is stunning, the food was delish and didn’t take too long to serve; just the ambience alone was 10/10. I wanted to say a special Thanks to Alvaro our waiter who was absolutely amazing, he really made the experience special. Alvaro you were friendly, funny and accommodated every special request(you even thought of things we didn’t think of)!!! Alvaro thank you from me and all the girls, we will definitely be coming back! :) P.s they also had a Bluetooth speaker in the private room so you can dine to your own vibe-A BONUS! Parking: The restaurant is situated very close to a car park. On a side road off broad street. About a 3 minute walk to venue.

Absolutely fantastic from the moment you walk in, the Service was outstanding and the food was just fantastic. We found this place after walking out of a Restaurant we had used for years, walked up Broad Street to find this Gem. You need to go here to appreciate what a great place it is.

Came with my whole family to celebrate my Wife’s birthday for the very first time. The whole restaurant ambience and interior was extremely impressive. Staff were very friendly and welcoming especially Ali. Ali took great care of everything and ensured best service possible. Many thanks to him for the very friendly and welcoming service provided. It’s a much recommended restaurant and plus the food was delicious too. Taste definitely exceeded our expectations as normally when we go in a fine dining restaurant, the taste is average, but here it was perfect.

If there was an option for zero stars, that’s what I would’ve given it. I’ve dined here on at least 5 occasions, mainly with big groups, and the food and decor has been good each time. The service wasn’t the best during any of the visits but was acceptable each time I visited except the final time I went. Never have I come across a waiter who is as rude, insolent and disrespectful as the one our party was served by. Total lack of manners, unable to answer questions about the dishes ordered and then proceeded to be condescending, arrogant and dismissive. There are pictures of the particular waiter with celebrities so they clearly only value the fame and big names. When I bought it to the attention of the man who said he was the manager, he promised to call me back and told me that they had cameras which I thought was an odd thing to say. He didn’t call me back. I guess he didn’t care and was just as arrogant. Simply due to the disrespect and lack of manners is the reason I wouldn’t go back. There are better places if one wants decent service.
