    As everyone else will probably attest, I had driven under this bridge just one too many times before deciding to go and check it out from above. It added about 20 minutes to our route (from Lincolnshire to Salford) but worth the stop! The new, higher fences are a bit unsightly but I 100% understand the reasons. A little scary for those with a fear of heights: my girlfriend clung to me for dear life!

    I'd intended to get a shot of the motorway the farm in the middle and the empty reservoir . To get only part of shot I had to climb over a crash barrier and try and find a hole in the security fence I guess it is better that I am inconvenienced than people are able to jump to their deaths
