I've been left without heating and hot water in the middle of winter after a faulty thermostat was fitted. Customer service were unhelpful and confrontational and the manager refused to take my call. It only took 15 minutes for it to be fitted yesterday (on a £333 pre-paid call out charge) but they weren't able to get anybody from the entire team to come and swap it out today. A thoroughly disappointing experience and service.

Been trying to get a repair visit from this company for the last 2 weeks, fail to turn up, then ring to cancel on the day, after being without central heating for 2 weeks already, waiting another week. Agent was very unsympathetic to my situation as a disabled person and undergoing treatment for a tumour. Previous they provided good service, but no longer.

Non caring and useless. My Glow Worm boiler stopped working. It was fitted by British Gas, a recognised official fitter for Vaillant/Glow Worm. I requested Vaillant to come and repair the boiler, they refused because the engineer would have to knee down to affect the repair due to health and safety, despite having acres of space. As a 69 year old, recovering from cancer and not having hot water or heating I find Vaillant to be without empathy and not at all helpful. Personally, I would advise anyone considering purchasing a gas boiler from Vaillant to think again, their customer service as abominable. On contacting Boxt Boilers ten minutes after the call from the Operations Manager at Vaillant, I booked a repair visit with Boxt and they were happy with the location and photographs.

Took out a care and repair plan on a boiler which is 8 years old and regularly serviced every year. Had an intermittent fault every few days which could be reset to allow the boiler to work. An engineer came out, made it worse and completely stopped the boiler from working at all and left the boiler in pieces. They said needed to order parts only to cancel the policy and leave us without a boiler! Customer service very unhelpful and unwilling to help, truly unprofessional and seemed like the whole thing was an excuse not to fix as engineers on the clock. Avoid at all cost!
