HUGE WARNING! The day after we checked out we received a message from JAMES the owner - informing us that we won't get our deposit back because the apartment was left in a very bad shape, he sent us a couple pictures that looked staged with whine bottles all over the place, tampons, every door on the cabinet was open, the dishwasher open and messy etc etc... Me and my friend was shocked because this wasn't even close to the reality!! We actually cleaned up after us, despite being charged £110 only for the cleaning fee... We then contacted James and told him we will take legal actions - luckily enough we had taken our own pictures and could prove with bank transactions that we never bought any whine bottles.. As expected we received an apology from James - claiming that this was a misunderstanding between him and the cleaning company.. Obviously we're not buying this and neither should you! The apartment itself had big problems, we couldn't keep the bedroom door open, the heater was noisy and kept me awake, the shower temperature was bad, water didn't really get warm. The living room window was broken and other things! Don't waste your money on this horrible place with bad owners.

(Translated by Google) I rarely give bad reviews. But this experience was incredibly bad. First of all the situation of the apartment on arrival. The front door has been broken before. No idea if it could be opened with force. We haven't tested it. The apartment is in a bad condition on the outside. The bed was way too hard and we couldn't sleep in it. It only moves through the room when you sit in it. It was also way too small. In the corner was a cheap IKEA closet badly assembled and almost falling apart from moving like that. Internet wifi didn't work. In the kitchen all dishes and pans were extremely dirty. We had to clean everything before using it. The toaster was a nightmare. There were lots of black breadcrumbs from previous tenants. When toasting it stunk in the whole apartment. It was not possible to clean it. This is not an apartment for rent. It could be a story for The London Dungeon. The two bedroom doors were fitted with a door closer, which always slammed the doors shut. It was not possible to block the doors. The bathroom was only of good quality. Only in both showers did the shower head give a drop of water every second. What a waste of water. We would definitely not recommend this apartment. (Original) Ich gebe selten schlechte Bewertungen.

The good: the location is great, lots of accessible transit, easy walking to lots of places, tons of food options. Beautiful view. The flat was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned nicely while we were here. It was not huge, but I had feared a tiny place, and it was roomier than expected. Urban Stay left a few little essentials (but see below in the bad) and a very cute bag with a few goodies for our cat and puppy. We did not have trouble with the wifi like others. The medium: the street outside is noisy. Urban Stay can’t do anything about this, but be advised this would not be a good choice if you are a light sleeper. Especially in the summer as you need windows open to sleep. The bad: although we were mostly left with supplies, it would have been nice to have a sponge to clean dishes and a few other small cleaning things (like a roll of paper towels and a broom). Agree with others that the furniture is all fine, but not great. Several of our chairs were slightly broken. The number of items is a bit stingy (for example, would have been nice to have more than 1 towel each, as a woman I like to have a body towel and a hair towel). I don’t expect to have AC, but as others have mentioned the large southern facing windows are nice for the view but it gets very very warm in the sunshine and certain of the flats have more limited ability to open windows (our windows only cracked open). We bought an extra fan and that improved it but think there should have been two provided in the flat (one for bedroom and one for living room). Overall, I’d still recommend for what they are, short term corporate housing.

Staff was nice and helpful when my girlfriend got stuck in the elevator and apartment was pretty nice and clean but there were several issues: - Chairs were of very poor quality - Shower temperature control was too sensitive, making it a freezing or burning shower - Cleaning service was quite inconsistant - Biggest issue of all, and it seems to be the case with other apartments, the wifi was TERRIBLE. I can't believe this is still an issue in 2022, all the more considering how much these apartments are charged to the companies paying for it. If you want to work from home, have zoom calls, forget about it. Really mindblowing.

There are so many problems with these apartments, I don't even know where to begin. The internet is slow. I get 10mb in download when it works well, and max 2mb in upload. Using my phone as hotspot is also not an option, because the building is quite old and the signal isn't great inside the building (even on Vodafone's network). The dishwasher in my flat doesn't work. Obviously I've tried cleaning it, and I've called UrbanStay about it. They've told me that they'd take care of it "today", but it's been several days and nobody's been here to fix it. Not sure what's taking so long. The guy on the phone wasn't even able to tell me if it's a common issue or not. Zero support from UrbanStay. Besides, the flat faces a quite busy street so that there's noise 24/7, even though the city is in a sort of lockdown state and it's supposed to be quieter. Cannot recommend.
