It is fantastic what the synergy between Essex university and Southend town has done. This is changing the town centre for the better. Stunning new buildings, a joint town and gown library. I would consider living and working here. It is a better integrated development than any other university town I've visited. I think it could vie with Cambridge or Oxford for quality of life. Consider Essex university, Southend campus if you are planning to go to university.
