Modern, fresh and high tech library for students of the University of Reading. There is a cafe on the ground floor with lots of seating available. There are also Male, Female and Gender Neutral toilets located on the ground floor as well as a family room. There are 5 levels to the library accessible via stairs or elevators. There are designated silent areas, group work areas, areas where food and drink is and is not permitted, computers available and rooms that can be reserved for independent or group study. There are areas where, books, papers and archives can be accessed and read, some which can be taken out on loan. All students access the library for free with their campus ID card, however visitors to the university can also use the library facilities by checking in with reception and getting a visitor's pass Monday -Friday.

Fantastic establishment… However, I’ve asked to borrow a pen for 10 mins (needed to sign some docs related to UR) and I was told that they don’t give stationery to students. Sort of defines this Uni.
