The good one(s): Excellence location walking distance to anywhere in central York. Big variety for breakfast. The bad one: The bathroom (and might be the room as well) was not cleaned at all during our stay (4 days), the housekeeper just emptied the bins and made up the beds, and this is totally unacceptable from a Hilton hotel.

(Translated by Google) We were here for 2 nights, a normal decent hotel, breakfast busy, but everything was there, rooms good, staff was, as we are used to in England, not really very nice, there was no way to say hello or thank you. Very annoying that there was no 220 volts in the bathroom, I could buy a plug for 9 Gbp at the reception, borrowing was really not possible for that one time, bought one the same morning at Boyes for 1 Gbp, what a service for the customer .. ....

Good hotel, covering the niche market for good quality accommodation and service without some of the questionable frills. delivers what it is meant to at its price point

Nearby activities: Recommend the railway museum. Walkability: About a 10 minute stroll from the station. Easy reach of 'wall' and other points of interest Food & drinks: Breakfast was nice with a reasonable amount of choice. The waffle maker was a hit with me. The waffles were very light and delicious 😋
