This is going to be a very long review. This place is incredible, and the staff here? Even more incredible. I’ve been lucky enough to explore the 2nd 3rd and 4th floor and the staff are amazing. 3rd floor will always have a special place in my heart as I’ve spent most my time there these past couple months. The turnover is a shame but still some incredible nurses that I am not going to name incase I miss anyone 😂! The one person I would recommend for every young person going in is SASHA. We all get a little sad, Sasha will have you laughing and forgetting you have cancer. Really appreciate this place, gave me a second chance at life and helped me live.

From the moment I walked in for a a foot surgery I knew I was in the right hands. Every single staff member was beyond nice and understanding, from the lovely lady that showed me to my bed to the lady that escorted me out after the surgery. Special thanks to the anaesthesia team that kept me preoccupied and made it fun, and of course to my surgeon Dr. James Youngman who did an incredible job! Also, Charleen the nurse who looked after me post the procedure was incredibly friendly and professional. You are a star! Many many thanks!

The worst experience had with this hospital Avoid ( maybe they like that ) I had an appointment at this hospital for nasal obstruction operation and after they checked me in for day surgery I was happy to see a nice place with very modern and a complete clean which I liked Took my gown and surgery clothes and special socks and Start waiting with a nice feeling that I’ll be treated correctly Not easy … and why ? -They have lost somewhere my COVID negative test and I had to dress and wait in another room until they found it - came back in the room dressed again in special clothes - they kept me without informing me what is happening and how long I have to wait for the surgery ( that was booked for 1 pm ) and even after the due time no one didn’t bother to tell me how long will take -they came around half past 2 and said that somehow it’s “ little bit “ late and agreed as 4pm I’ll be in the theatre for surgery - at 4 :30 someone came an told me that “I have bad news “ I’m not gonna be operated that day ! After asking why “they said “ we are short on staff “ we can offer you a next appointment after a month !… ———- Imagine how bad they treating people ! What a nightmare to wait such a long time and also to have self isolating before surgery and no water no food , not even doctors ! That’s the way how NHS is working ! Well done guys …I’m sure you paid your staff and doctors to keep me like this , maybe that’s why NHS is working so great ! You must be ashamed for what you did to me !

My son has received proton beam therapy at this world-class treatment centre. Words just can’t describe how wonderful the facilities, and most importantly the people, are at this life-saving place. From the wonderful security staff, always smiling and asking how the patients are every day, keeping us safe not just from obvious danger but also the real risk of infection (Covid), to the “hidden” staff who keep the place spotless, the reception/concierge staff who know each patient by name and sight, the world-class clinicians - doctors, nurses, radiographers, and everyone else, they all merge to form one amazing team. We attended for six weeks of treatment, five days a week, and each and every one of the above members of staff made it so much easier than it would otherwise have been. It is truly humbling to witness the NHS at its most finest - and the 1 Grafton Way Building, and especially the PBT facility, epitomises the NHS at its finest. Keep up the truly amazing work you guys do.

Stunning new building. There a few places with such lovely and comfortable waiting areas. It is very organised, security and reception are friendly, welcoming and helpful. There is a prayer room and an “oasis” room which is labelled shown as a multi faith room. The restrooms are all very clean and attended to.

After long time visiting the UCLH and of course, the very first time accessing services at the new Grafton Way Building - opened for public only months earlier in April 2021! When you enter - you will be at the Atrium with very high roof and beautiful artworks hanging! Welcome Desks, Imagine Desks, Toilets, 🚻 ♿ Disabled Toilets, Baby Changing Area, Multi-Faith Room, Prayer Room, Ritual Cleaning are some of the services/facilities can be found in the Atrium! Aesthetics are beautiful! Hope that the Departments and Hospital Resources are being utilised effectively by learning from existing buildings and taking these into considerations during planning! This is more important than the aesthetics in my view! And the following experience proves my point beautifully! Main entry was through a revolving door and there was a side entrance for Wheelchair Access to the building! Very unfortunately, there was no button to open the side entrance apart from access card! Patients do not have access card and there should have been a button or automatic opening/closing function! During my visit, I was waiting and waiting - couldn't open the side entrance and not knowing what to do - then the security saw me and came to open the door! Really surprised that newly built building didn't have a button or automatic options for Wheelchair ♿ Access! Exiting the building was smooth as there was an exit button opening the side entrance! I was amazed to see a robot 🤖 by the entrance but couldn't establish what the robot was for! 😔 😲 🤨 😔
