Not happy. Arrived at the store today to collect my new tank/stand and filter. 4 hour round trip to collect it, Wanted to see what else they had in stock to kit out the new tank. In store was nice and easy, bloke was helpful enough, was advised the filter I ordered hadn’t arrived in store yet (had no email advising this prior to me arriving at the shop) but they upgraded the filter to a bigger one for free, that’s fine. Got home put the stand together ready for the tank, to find out tank was a different colour to the stand ordered black and black, got white and black was this not checked by the shop?and the filter was missing bits out the box 4x hose fitting clamps (was this the reason they upgraded it to a better one) have emailed the shop to see what they are going to do next, Will update when I get a response to see how they are going to deal with this. *Update* Spoke to the guys at UA, they arranged for a new tank to be delivered…took a week, new tank turned up with DX delivery company who said it was going to be delivered on Thursday waited in all day didn’t turn up until Friday afternoon and when it turned up it was broken.. emailed UA they just apologised and said they will arrange collection of the tank and stand as I asked for a refund as this is a joke. DX was meant to collect yesterday didn’t turned up surprise surprise, surprised how UA have handled this. No personal phone call, no reply to my latest emails seems like they ain’t bothered.

Came in last week to get a fish tank for my kids, little bit of a novice to all this and Gazz helped me out picking the best tank best fish etc, even went the extra mile to message me after to make sure everything was set up, came back again today for more fish and again great customer service, highly recommended and I’ll be back every 2 weeks for different bits and bobs. 🐠 🐟

☆Edit after response from universal aquatics.... No email received advising me that plant was out of stock prior to refund being issued, got plenty of marketing info after I made the purchase so mail not going to spam. I've ordered 100's of plants from various businesses, bunched, potted and loose, I'm well aware of how plants are sent.... a simple zip lock bag in a cardboard box (large letter cardboard box would have sufficed for this order) this would ensure plants arrive in good condition. Even if you did use the packaging sent by your supplier, maybe add something to prevent the plants from moving about so much, stuffing paper or bubble wrap. ☆original post☆ Disappointed by the unprofessional approach by this company. Ordered a specific plant which I waited patiently for and when they did receive it, I placed my order which arrived a week later in takeaway trays, the ones used for fish and chips. Upon opening my parcel, the wrong plant was sent. I called and spoke to Lee and was assured that a replacement would be sent out and would arrive by Wednesday the following week, as nothing arrived on Wednesday, I called them again to which they acted surprised "oh it should have been with you today" they said....later on that day I get a notification (automated) to say a refund has been issued. They had no courtesy to call and apologise nor update me on what's going on, none of my emails have been replied to, don't think they monitor the emails The pond plant i received also arrived damaged as it wasn't secured properly being sent in takeaway trays with the weights attached it kept moving about like a roller coaster ride going through the postal system. If there was any courtesy of getting in touch to update me as to whats happening, or replies to my emails the outcome of the review might have garnered a better rating.

Great little shop, clean and friendly staff. Couldn't help me enough, The staff gave me great advice for setting up a new aquarium and good pricing. Would highly recommend. I will be going back again once my aquarium is ready to add fish!
