How do you calculate the charges for your utility services?
We calculate our utility charges based on the usage of each individual resident. We install sub-meters in each apartment to accurately measure the amount of energy and water used. This allows us to charge residents only for the amount they use, rather than a flat rate. What types of services do you provide for housing utilities?
We provide a variety of utility services for our housing residents, including electricity, gas, water, and internet. We also offer maintenance and repair services for any utility-related issues that may arise. Can you provide information on the department's faculty members and their research areas?
As a residential college, we do not have faculty members or conduct research in the traditional sense. However, we do employ a team of staff members who are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive living environment for our residents. These staff members include managers, maintenance personnel, and resident advisors. What extracurricular activities does your residential college offer?
We offer a variety of extracurricular activities for our residents, including social events, community service opportunities, and educational workshops. These activities are designed to help residents build connections with their peers and engage in meaningful experiences outside of the classroom. Are there any opportunities for internships, research, or other experiential learning within this department?
As a residential college, we do not offer internships or research opportunities in the traditional sense. However, we do provide a supportive environment for students to engage in experiential learning through our extracurricular activities and community service programs. Additionally, we partner with local organizations to offer internship and job opportunities for our residents.Reviews

I'm now approaching the end of my tenancy and have already moved out back to my parents. At the time of writing, this flat is primarily for first year students, and so am I. This is the only student accomodation I've really been to, and I don't plan on going to any more, so I cannot compare to other places. First off, the facilities on site. Your reception is not in the building, but rather another building across the other side of campus. This isn't a massive issue in most cases, but it can become a problem on occasion (for example, ordering large PC parts, and carrying them across the campus like an idiot). The reception is also only sometimes helpful, depending on who you get. In block A1, you have a common room, which I never used, a study room, which I never used, and a laundry room, which I will get to. In block A2, you get... nothing. You have to walk across to the other block to do anything. The laundry is provided by Circuit. It's awful. Expect to talk to them a LOT about soaked clothes, smelly water, and completely broken machines. Also, the lifts, there's usually one working. There's supposed to be two, but one's broken down most of the time, and the times it works, it's dodgy. Not particularly fast either. Now the room! They definitely painted it just before I moved in, since there were spots of green underneath the grey I had requested, but overall the room was very nice. Not large, but I still found it cozy. The bathroom was too small, without getting into too much detail I found the toilet difficult to use, and the shower would always cause a flood. The rooms are okay soundproof wise. If your neighbours are screaming, you'll probably hear it, but not too loudly. Fire alarms don't go off too often, they have a test every week which usually happens at the right time, and I think there was just one event where buildings have been evacuated, but I wasn't there for it. All in all, it was alright to live there for a couple months, but no more. The price of student accommodation in general is far too high, and Unite is definitely not pushing to be better in any regard. Now I'll just wait to see how much they charge me after I check out 🤣 Also attached pictures of the view.

The worst student accommodation in Birmingham. Don't ever take Unite students accommodation. The heating in rooms don't work, which is like the most basic necessity. The reception is useless, they act as if always helpless and don't even try to resolve any issues. The management is worse than all and don't care to resolve anything
