Biggest problem with this place is the abnormal amount of fire drills every week. Sometimes I would be sleeping and a fire drill out of nowhere. Every week atleast 1-2 times Lift always not working too. Had to carry kilos of laundry up to the 10th floor

If I had written this article on the first day, I would have given 1 point and wrote a lot of negative comments. Because the walls are very thin and I had to warn my friend in the next room twice because of the noise. But after 1 year my thoughts are as follows Positive: 1. Cheap compared to other places 2.The staff are very kind and try to be as helpful as possible 3.Trying to fix repairs and other loud noise issues right away 4. The reception accepts your cargo for you. 5.The room is useful enough, the long table helps a lot 6. Internet is very fast and does not disconnect 7.There is a market right next to it 8. Close to the ocean and ideal for walking 9. There are enough machines in the laundry room and it has just been refurbished. I never came back because it was full 10. You have your own private mailbox. Negative: 1. The walls are too thin. You hear every voice of your friend and of course they hear you too. The voice issue can be very annoying because even if your friend speaks normally with his family, it can make you have a headache. 2.The hot water in the bathroom sometimes runs out quickly. The handout mentions the button that needs to be pressed for the hot water in the corridor, but it certainly doesn't work. 3. The heater turns off automatically 1-2 minutes after it starts, and you need to press it again after 30 minutes for it to work. It is very uncomfortable while sleeping because you have to get out of bed 4.Common area is smoking area only. If you don't smoke, your chances of meeting other people in the dorm are very low. Before you come, keep in mind: 1.It is far from Southampton university and takes 1 hour including walking by bus. 2. Only you clean the kitchen. Advices: 1. Come as early as possible and choose the best place in the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets. 2.Create a list to litter when everyone arrives
