Really disapointed. I've been paying in for years and when i needed help, i was a allocated a rep - JW in december 2021. JW did not return calls or emails promptly and i just did NOT feel that i was listened to or was a priority. I was really disapointed that she shared information with my employer without my permission. Unison also use the same .gov domain as the local authority within GM that i work for. This may save the union money for IT etc but it doesnt build trust with members. Shame.

If you genuinely want your time and money wasted then please join Unison. You'll be paying for a service that's non existent. Useless outfit.

Nobody in the office because of the Covid-19, by now July 27th 2020, somebody should be available to talk to in person, instead we got a telephone number to call.

A member of my family was represented by Unison. The Union rep was highly incompetent at supporting her client. My mum paid £15 per month to Unison and worked for her employer for 25 years. It was a clear case of 'age discrimination', yet the Unison could not be bothered to represent her. Be warned, choose a different union if you would like support.

A Warning.[Title] A few years ago I was represented by Unison at a Settlement meeting with my employer. I had been on sick leave for some time so this was the time my future would be decided. I had been in dispute with my employer over a number of unethical actions they had taken. The meeting at a unison office consisted of two HR people from my employer ,the unison rep and myself ONLY I was not in the meeting. The union rep went into another room where the HR people were , I was not invited in. All I was told, about what was discussed and offered, came from the union rep. I have recently learnt from a reliable source that this should not have happened. At the time I had no idea of what would happen at the meeting , the rep did not tell me what would happen so I was completely in his hands. What I would like to know is why would he want to keep me from knowing what was offered or discussed and why he thought he had the right to do so? It is my belief the rep did not tell me all that was said and I have verification of that. Be advised , always take a witness with you when being represented by unison - do not go to a meeting alone. My experience tells me you would be foolish to trust them . Would unison like to comment?
