I've heard about Underway Studio thanks to "Studio 73" Art Gallery in Brixton Village Market, where I fell in love with their artworks, and I was even happier when I discovered this amazing illustration and printmaking collective was born and bred in the heart of Brixton. Underway Studio was founded in 2015 by six graduates as a space to continue working and developing as young designers, the collective works collaboratively across silk-screen, lino and digital print mediums. Architecture, form, texture and colour are the main influences behind Underway Studio’s work. The use of physical print processes means their visual language is both playful and distinctive, incorporating photography, collage, drawing and any happy accidents along the way.
