It was a nerve racking experience finding a suitable care home for my Mum to enable me some much needed respite. Mum was very very frightened to be away from me. I went to visit Stafford Court Care Home in Venebles Close Canvey Island & 'felt' immedietly that this was a careing place. I was shown around by one of the very lovely care team accompanied by a really lovely resident. I then met with Vic the manager for a chat, straight away I felt at ease & very happy with all I had seen & heard. The following day after an assessment at our home with Vic, I took Mum along for her 'little holiday'. The feelings inside me were similar to those when you take your child to school for the first time, having to leave them to cope without you. However, it was a very positive experience for my lovely Mum who has a variety of complex care needs. Mum had a really great time & spoke so highly of all the team, carers, chef, cleaners, admin , each demonstratated genuine care & compassion, plus she is actually looking forward to her next 'holiday' there. The food was as superb as the care given & Mum will be off again for a little holiday at Stafford Court on a regular basis for respite. If I had any doubt whatsoever in any aspect of the care given I would not be writing a review. I am so delighted to have found a home from home for my Precious Mum. Thank you to Vic & all the lovely team at Stafford Court.
