This was a terrific place to learn and enjoy Ukrainian culture. We sampled cold pickles starters, hot cabbage rolls (my favorite), and for mains grilled chicken and pork skewers and chicken Kiev, accompanied by their delicious house made vodka of course. Albina our hostess was so warm and served our large group of 9 with ease. I can’t recommend this place more, a family run business that will leave you feeling warm inside, and not to mention very full as well!

Avoid this place if you truly support Ukraine. I used to be a loyal customer before lockdown. The place used to the a true gem, always vibing, fully booked with life music. We’ve decided to visit again today. On a Saturday night it was dark and nearly empty, now I know why. We were immediately harnessed by a few drunk guys. They picked up on me and my husband for no reason and demanded to prove that we’re not Russians. Staff did nothing to protect us, while the situation was getting dangerous. Luckily we managed to escape, as taxi arrived quickly. Police needs to seriously look into this place. There are many ways to support Ukraine in this bloody war against Russian aggressors. But visiting Albina is not one of them.

My wife and I were harassed by some drunk Ukranian guys as soon as we walked in. Screamed that we needed to prove that we're not Russians. We're from Latvia and supported Ukraine throughout the war. Never going to this place again. Advise everyone else to do the same.
