Will not go back. I came here as they were £10 cheaper than others in the area. I asked for a French manicure pink and they all started talking in their language and said they only had two SNS pinks to choose from. Neither of which were what I wanted nor what I had previously had at the nail bar. Yes third work problems but I had it redone two days later at Image and they have won me back and Star nail have lost my custom. Listen to the customers !! Service: Manicure

They butchered my nails. They use a nail clipper to cut the nails which isn't actually recommended, they use color directly on the nail without applying any other base for adhesion or treatment and they apply the polish at the end of the nail to close it as a completely extra step. My nails look broken and the endings look irregular. I feel sorry for the guys working there, they do it mechanically and don't seem to have much training.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! I have never written a bad review before- but this time I feel it is my obligation to do so in the hopes that I will save other people waisting their money. Not only is UK Star Nails filthy, with nail residue, dust on the tools and just generally ingrown dirt on the working stations, floor and chairs etc. They don’t wash the equipment in between people/use and it looks and feels like an bacteria cesspool. They are super rude, barely acknowledge you when you walk in -they make you feel like your presence is an inconvenience to them. I have come for a while now only because they are on my way home and fairly cheap I but every time I leave I swear it’s my last time. This time though it was - and is undoubtedly one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon anywhere. I originally went to UK STAR Nails on Putney high Street on 22.12.2022 to have my nails done with shellac before Christmas. Two days later the polish began to raise and chip on one hand. The place was closed over Christmas so I couldnt go back to have it fixed. I went back today 28.12.2022 and they refused to fix it. He was extremely rude about it and basically told me that it was not their mistake because one hand was fine and he started to be aggressive towards me saying it wasn’t their fault and that I must have done something???? I honestly could not believe it, his mannerism was arrogant, accusatory and rude and it caught me off guard. It is now the second time in a month and a half I have had to go back because the shellac has been chipping after a day or two- it is clearly because they use bad products. But instead of fixing the mistake like any other business would do- he said it wasn’t his problem. I paid £25 to get shellac that lasted two days, I’ve walked around with one hand a mess over the entire Christmas holiday for just to be spoken to in such a derogatory manner that I actually almost started to cry in pure frustration. Don’t go here. Don’t support a business like this. They don’t deserve to be open and should be reported for health and safety violations for one. AVOID AVOID AVOID - spend a few pounds more and have it done at a proper nail salon in a Putney. Service: Manicure

Please do not waste your time and get acrylics done here or gel , their products are cheap and horrible and my nails only lasted a week. When I went to complain and get it fixed they were so rude and did not fix the nails. The same happened with my sister , her shellac was blotchy and the colour seemed off overall. We both went to different salon to get it fixed as this one was no help with their cheap stuff. Do not recommend, avoid at all costs, save your money and look elsewhere. Service: Acrylic nails
