    I am writing this review to strongly recommend UK Safety Management. A few years ago I was contacted by this company and how I regret not hiring them then. At the time I thought we were in contract to another company whose name I won't mention. This other company used to turn up out of the blue without an appointment, do a load of work, sometimes without my authority, and then send an invoice at hugely inflated prices. It came to a head last year when they turned up out of the blue and I was left with an invoice of £631.75. I ended up having to pay via a payment plan. Once I had paid it off I told them to take a hike. When the renewal came I was looking frantically for the email I got from UK Safety Management. Then out of the blue, a phone call came from them so I got them booked in an all-day appointment. Would you believe that a few weeks later the original company turned up unannounced to do the work? I told them I had canceled and sent the guy away. Anyway I got a reminder phone call about our appointment a few weeks before hand, one a week before and one a few days beforehand. I let the safety officer, called Mark, in. I showed him our extinguishers. I also showed him the invoice from the previous company. He couldn't say anything but his facial expression gave it away. He serviced the extinguishers. Then to my horror he asked where my 2kg CO2 extinguisher which is supposed to be next to our boiler was. I said we haven't got one. Then he said "the last company invoiced you for it and you've paid for it." He told me the legalities of it and showed me the extract from the government website. I asked him how much. He said £75 but there is no labour fee because I am here anyway. I was very taken back by that. Once he finished he said once the invoice had been paid I'd get a certificate showing that he'd signed off the premises. I'd never had such a certificate before! He then told me to expect a phone call about 3 months before renewal for a booked appointment. To be polite I was impressed. So are they worth the money? Cheap at 5 times the price? Do they give good value for money? Very much so. So would I recommend them to anyone? Yes- in a heartbeat. If you need your fire safety checking give them a call and be shaken but not stirred.

    We used this company once before for PAT testing, but will never again. The cost doubled this year and we have the same number of appliances. Be wary of the ALL the costs, ask exactly what you will be charged for in advance, and closely supervise the engineer when in your premises. We tried using this company after being cold-called - big mistake, should have read the reviews.

    I’ve had exactly the same experience as an earlier reviewer. The came to do PAT testing and then sent an invoice for that and a visual test of the sockets (or similar wording). Apparently an optional extra, that was not mentioned to us on the day. I did notice it last year but, as per the earlier reviewer, had let it go (I have more important things to do). The invoice was paid - as I pay all invoices promptly - and only afterwards, after discussions with the farm manager, did I realise the “visual test” had not been undertaken or even mentioned. I raised it as a query and got a prompt response, to which it has taken me a while to reply. They’re now saying that they won’t refund me - “a special offer that no longer exists and that as I’d paid the invoice they assumed it was ok” or words to that effect. Ok to accept a payment for something that actually has not been done??? What a complete joke. I will not be using this company ever and do it recommend to anyone. I will stick to a local supplier - lesson learnt.

    This company continue to send us unsolicited emails on a daily basis despite attempting to unsubscribe. In the circumstances we have raised a formal complaint under the terms of GDPR as we are increasingly concerned they may be violating UK GDPR guidelines.
