I had an unplanned emergency operation. Took nothing with me but my phone purse and keys. From admittance to discharge 40hrs later, everyone and way way too many to mention have been amazing. Truly amazing, the care, support and understanding to my needs medical and personal I can not fault. Whilst I don't want to repeat the experience, I have to thank and congratulate everyone I came into contact with from domestic, caterers, porters, trainees, nurses, surgeons, anesthetist, recovery, consultants, specialists whether conceous or out of it in every department. Special mention to SAU and Ward 107 I can not thank you enough for getting me home and your care no matter the time of day or night. I just wish there was a way to reward such amazing care in a time when everyone is up against it. You guys never once made it look like the struggles we all know are there were prevalent, a real credit to the NHS and especially Royal Stoke Hospital.

Attended A+E on New Year’s Day. Despite the immense pressure the NHS is under, all staff were professional, efficient and caring. They dealt with me quickly and carried out all investigations promptly. I arrived at 7am and was home for 12 midday. Very impressive, thank you.
