We booked the community centre for 7th January 2023 for 5-10. We were told that we could come for 4.30 to set up. The booking was paid for in advance mid December. On arriving at the centre at 4.30 with caterers and Dj and expected 100 guests. No one from community centre was there to open up. We frantically tried calling the only landline no available to no success. 7th was a Saturday, so the Monday after, on attending the community centre we were advised there had been a mix up of timing. We were refunded, however this really wasn’t a solution to the disappointment and stress we had gone through on the 7th and having to arrange a venue immediately, at increased costs. Absolutely disappointed ☹️. Solely as this is a community centre we have sought not to take legal action against them.

Excellent resource for the community and hostong events. The back wall in the main room would benefit from hooks on the wall where banners can be attached.
