I know someone with a drinking problem who had been sober for 3 weeks on their own. Turning point said not to go cold turkey and to drink every other day. I'm no professional but.....

If you have just accumulated an addiction. Yes get help. I went. I found myself being treated as if I was different to the people that work there by a few (not all.) 3 weeks I'm waiting for a reduction on my medication to then be told I need to wait another week. They take the puxx and I personally will never go back there no matter how desperate I would be... Rubbish place that that need to do education themselves to understand there work and.the people they work with.

The Swindon office of turning point i have to say is absolutly abysmal, they do not care if you use drugs or not, they dont try to help other family who are trying to help one family member they just dont care and if that person uses drugs they make a big song and dance about it and threaten to throw them of prescription help,so if you need help to get off drugs find a allternative.
