I recently completed a Thursday night throwing course with Nat and she is the best teacher I have ever had. It’s one thing to be a good potter / artist (which she clearly is) but another to be an excellent teacher. Nat is so good at demonstrating and talking through her actions and there is a flow to her classes which I really love. There is clearly a lot of prep / behind the scenes work that Nat does to ensure classes run smoothly and most importantly, Nat brings such lovely energy to our classes. I always looked forward to Thursday evenings in the studio!

Great staff, great facilities and great atmosphere. I was a little intimidated when I joined by all the amazing ceramicists I was suddenly surrounded by… but I’ve never met a nicer bunch, and have learnt so much from my time here, both from the staff and other members. The facility is perfect, well kitted and beautiful too. Definitely recommend Turning Earth

Been a member of the studio for over 5 years and can't recommend it enough! Great mix of novices and professionals sharing the space, so there is always a lot of work to take inspiration from and interesting people to chat with. The staff are really helpful and the vibe is calm and welcoming.

I have been potting at Turning Earth for a few years now, and have constantly enjoyed the working atmosphere there; busy, cooperative, friendly. The technical support is outstanding, always available, with a kind and supportive word for the less expert such as myself; while the presence of highly skilled colleagues at work is genuinely inspiring. A wonderful and welcoming place!

I have been a member for about three years and I really enjoy coming to the studio. I started with a 12-week course which covered all techniques and was very informative and enjoyable. After that I applied for a membership, and to this day the studio is still one of my favourite places to go to. The technicians are very friendly, kind and help with whatever questions I may have, there is a great selection of glazes available and a wonderful community of potters to chat with, share tips and joy or sadness over successful and failed creations.

Turning Earth Hoxton is a fantastic studio, with a welcoming pottery community. I joined the studio following an 8-week course, and found everyone very friendly and happy to provide advice and guidance - especially the technicians and studio manager. While the studio can get relatively busy at certain times of year (i.e Christmas), for the most part I never had any issues finding a wheel or hand building area, or space in the glazing area. TE Hoxton is a great little community and home to some incredibly talented ceramicists. It’s perfect for both those starting their pottery journey and more experienced ceramicists.
