I visited this establishment seeking advice regard a family antique, stating from the outset that I wasn’t expecting the proprietor to purchase the item, just provide some brief information. From the outset he was disinterested, dismissive and rude to,the point where my partner left the shop in disgust. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I am astounded that this shop maintains a client base if it treat all its customers in this fashion. As a local person I certainly won’t be visiting again or recommending anyone else does!

The shop has some lovely pieces but when we returned the second day to purchase, the lady working was so rude we went around the corner to Chequers and bought four pieces of furniture from the lovely Paul instead. In a market town full of antiques shops there are many places to go for a better customer experience!
