After reading the January 2023 Ofsted Report I am not surprised at the findings! It is very sad that it has taken so long to highlight the inadequacies. The high turnover of staff, and amazing staff that have left over the years speaks volumes. How on earth the recent newly headteacher became appointed is beyond me - for someone who started their career in SEN is laughable due to the lack of compassion and understanding given to two of my children who struggled with SEN difficulties. It starts at the top and I would suggest Ofsted look closer at the Leadership team, this said I have nothing but the upmost respect for Mr. Parfitt surely he would have been a better choice of head. I would suggest Parents read the Ofsted report closely and or the Birmingham Mail Report that came out today before choosing to send your children here. Thank you to the mentors, Mrs Bailey, Mr. Parfitt and ‘Miriam’ who managed to keep my children motivated somewhat during the years spent here.
