We originally ordered Waterford Glass glasses in the belief it would be from Ireland and of good quality. When it arrived it was from Slovenia and was a bit chunky, we refused to take it. We then researched the web for cut glass lead crystal and found Tudor and their factory shop was open (no local stockists). We purchased 6 tumblers and 4 wine glasses that were excellent in design and quality and from a very wide range of choice as good if not better than similar products purchased from John Lewis when they used to sell quality products such as lead cut glass crystal from Eire and the UK. We would recommend anyone seeking a wide ranging choice of high quality glass at competitive prices to visit Tudor in Stourbridge (Stoke-on-Trent) before buying foreign products from John Lewis and indeed would recommend them (JL) also to start seriously investigating UK products such as these instead of purchasing abroad. It rankles that suppliers such as JL demand premium prices for products sourced in low cost economies rather than passing on lower prices and that they don't stock good quality products such as Tudor that also offer value for money. Perhaps leaving the EU will force then to do so?
