We placed an order for Amtico flooring to be supplied & fitted by Tudor carpets , they got a third party to fit it , was terrible, gaps everywhere, glue over the flooring, after complaining and arguing with Tudor carpets and having to go direct to Amtico & them coming to view the job done by a cowboy , it finally sorted after 9 months later . Was very expensive so thought we would get a good job , but no . Do not recommend for flooring !

When we first moved into our house 26 years ago we found a local carpet/flooring shop just around the corner. We liked that it was an independent family run company. The selection of flooring was brilliant and the service was excellent. They fitted carpet and lino to every room in our house when we first purchased it. Over the years we have continued to use the same company to replace carpets and flooring in various rooms. So, when we needed new flooring for the renovation we didn't hesitate to visit Tudor Carpets again. A couple of years ago Tudor Carpets fitted LVT (luxury vinyl tiles) in our living room, so it made sense to run the same flooring throughout the renovation - the hallway, the study and the kitchen diner. We also needed new stair and landing carpet, so we chose that from Tudor as well along with a teeny piece of lino for the cloakroom. Two days of laying hardboard and sealing, followed by the LVT and half a day to fit the stair and landing carpet and we they all done and dusted. It all looks fantastic. Lovely flooring and excellent, friendly service.

I had a visit from a gentleman at Tudor who viewed the job and the flooring seeing exactly what the flooring was, they supplied the quote and I paid the deposit. I waited a month for them to slot me in which I was happy to do as I thought they were a good company, then the date was pushed back. My bathroom is nearly finished and flooring was the last job so I was keen to get it finished. This morning two Tudor fitters came to my home, laid out the flooring in my kitchen and told me they weren’t going to do the job as they weren’t happy about laying the Lino. When I stated that their colleague saw my flooring, quoted, took my money and I had moved my nursing shifts around to work with them they said sorry but it wasn’t their fault. I find this treatment unbelievable and totally unprofessional. To view a job, take customers money, mess them around on dates because ‘it’s just a little job’ then say they can’t do it. I thought this firm were floor fitters??? So embarrassed for them and cannot recommend.
