I feel compelled to share my recent visit to Tru Street in Trafford Centre, and I must say it was an utterly shocking experience. While the food was passable, the friendly and pleasant demeanor of the lady who served us and handled our payment was overshadowed by a deplorable incident that left me utterly dismayed. To my disbelief, as we were leaving the restaurant, a short, very dark-skinned Asian man bolted after us, aggressively accusing us of not paying our bill. His behaviour was nothing short of appalling and displayed a complete lack of professionalism. What was even more astounding was his failure to offer any apology for his outrageous conduct. It is both puzzling and disturbing that he would stoop so low over a measly £40 bill. This individual clearly lacks even the most basic people skills necessary for customer service. Not only did he engage in false accusations, but he also completely disregarded the fact that he was in the wrong. His refusal to apologise or acknowledge his mistake speaks volumes about his character. It is both infuriating and disappointing to encounter such arrogance and unwillingness to take responsibility. It is an understatement to say that he is ill-suited for his role. His inability to acknowledge and apologise for his inappropriate behaviour further solidifies my belief that he is simply unfit to work in the service industry. While I could have made a scene in response to his actions, I chose not to waste my time arguing with someone so ignorant and foolish. It is glaringly evident that this man's choice of profession is a grave mistake. My advice to him and to the management of Tru Street is to exercise some discernment when dealing with customers. Take a moment to assess their age, appearance, and demeanor. Perhaps then, such crass and disrespectful behaviour could be avoided altogether. The audacity of running after and shouting at customers is an absolute disgrace and should never be tolerated in any establishment. This experience has left me profoundly disappointed, and I sincerely hope that Tru Street takes immediate action to address the abhorrent behaviour of their staff. Customers deserve to be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy at all times. It is my fervent hope that this review serves as a stark wake-up call for Tru Street, prompting them to reevaluate their staff training and instill a culture of professionalism and respect. Only through such drastic improvements can they hope to salvage their reputation and provide a satisfactory dining experience for all patrons.

Really poor food, nothing like pictures. Meat was cheap, full of chewy bits and overall taste was on par with a microwave meal. Service charge added without mention. Get yourself home and order a takeaway 😉

£65 for 2 mains and 1 starter is abit ridiculous, the beef was squishy and the chicken was chewy. A service charge is also added but I would recommend removing this by your waiter before you pay. We never even finished half of the meal as the food was only decent thing was the duck bao buns but that went down hill when mains came out 😬

Decided to dine on my own after a couple of hours studying in Starbucks. Ordered the curry and rice with chicken bao buns. Flavourless and bits of uncooked rice but I don’t generally complain so I sat and ate with my airpods in watching some YouTube. I ask for the bill and swipe my card. Decline. I insert. Decline. I check my account and Everything is ok nothing is blocked and no email. Anyway they start to surround my table and look at me funny like I’m some crook and I’m just calm about the situation because I have the money on my card regardless and have been using it all day. Until…. The “supervisor” comes and snatches my card off me looking to see if it’s expired or fake? This is when I started to get bothered. Anyway I ask for the manager who they say isn’t there. I THEN ask for the card machine again, after which I swipe it and it works. No apology from the lady who grabbed my card or any of the staff for surrounding my table or giving me a faulty card machine. I quietly told the young girl who works there to get the card machines checked so no one else has to come and go through that ordeal. Shocking service, average overpriced food. I’d hate to think maybe it was the colour of my skin and the fact I was alone that they became quite aggressive? Nevertheless, wouldn’t recommend.

The food quality was good, however, the portion size is too small in terms of value for money. Also, the food was really spicy even though we opted ‘mild’. Our waiter Shreyas did a great job and was there for us for whatever we needed.

Tasteless food, slow service, staff don’t seem to care if there’s a problem with your food - would not recommend this place at all. The small plates were also full of oil and I had to send them back. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but the food here is shocking. Only go here if you’re looking to fill up on greasy hot oil for dinner.

The food was brilliant. But even more the staff were fantastic especially Ruth. We had a small problem with one of our dishes and she delt with it very gracefully and gave us a gesture of good will. I can recommend dining here if you are in the trafford centre.
