Yes, you do hear the planes, however, apart from that, there is absolute quietness. I liked having the simple but cheap breakfast in the large eating room with a panoramic view out on flowers, lawn, trees, butterflies, sunshine and the blue, blue sky with planes comes by very closely every few minutes. It was very pleasant stay. I'd give 5 stars if the breakfast was a bit more sustainable with less plastic waste and if the hotel was a small, independent business rather than part of a chain.

Stayed for one night 🌙 😴 😌 😪. Nice. Food wise 😋 is about 8 mins drive away from the hotel. Nice and quiet 🤫 👌. Food & drinks: 8 minutes drive away from the hotel 🏨 .

First of all the location is perfect for Gatwick, we had an early flight so stayed here the night prior, its then a 10 minute drive to Gatwick. Nice big car park opposite the hotel. Our room was huge and very warm, you can hear planes going over but what do you expect?! The road outside wasn't an issue, it's a fairly quiet road. We left before breakfast so I can't comment on that. We had some additional unwanted guests in the bathroom, a family of earwigs which I removed. The hotel is dated but did the job for somewhere to get our head down before a flight.

I say it as it is
I was greated at the front door by a man wearing no socks as he put his cigarette out in the already overflowing ashtray, the entrance hall and staircase/landing smelt of stale cigarette smoke, it's a shame I can't upload pictures on here, I wrote "Hi" in the dust, the shower room was filthy with urine splatters on the electric towel rail right next to the toilet, black mould around the edge of the shower tray, body fat yellowing on the grout between the wall tiles, a large very obvious off white stain some 2' x 2' on the white duvet cover, not only was the room filthy it was very small almost claustrophobic with low sloping ceilings everywhere, there was no way I could sleep and wash in that room, I left an hour after checkin and booked a room at a near by Premier Inn.

3rd Trevilles we have stayed in around Gatwick and so far the best. Room was great, comfy bed, microwave and fridge in our room and a smart TV ( a decent size 32 inch ) had Netflix and prime video on it. Bathroom was also great deep and comfortable bath and power shower. Staff very friendly could check in a little early, and plenty of extra tea and coffee. Also a nice grassy area out back, complete with squirrels Highly recommended

Do not expect a good nights sleep here. I initially requested a room away from the road. When I arrived at the hotel I was given a room on the ground floor, just a couple of metres from the main road. I spoke to the person who checked me in and I requested another room away from the road but I was told the hotel was fully booked. I then checked their website and found that there was 4 rooms available, not facing the road. I was kept awake all night by vehicles on the road. Also, although Gatwick airport says noisy aircraft are banned between 11:00pm and 07:00am, jets start taking off at 06:00 and fly low right over the hotel.
