Wonderful apartment literally across the street from York Minister. Perfect location; lots to do and see in the area. The staff were wonderful and I had a great time! Note to Americans: this is a typical over-the-pub place, with narrow stairs and the toilet on a different floor from the bed. Which was exactly what I expected, so I loved it. I ordered one of the breakfast packs and it was enough to give me a full English for three days, with food left over.

We stayed in the Haunted chamber for three nights, perfect location right next to the minster. It’s a little small for a family of 4 but it’s an old building so that’s to be expected. Has everything you could possibly need and the staff in the pub are great, the only thing that was bad was the cobweb in the kitchen above the utensils it’s been there a while by the look of it! Will try the retro apartment next time.
