The Roost at Tredinney Farm was comfortable, well furnished and well situated to visit the local attractions and beautiful beaches of Lands End Peninsula. We enjoyed staying on a working farm, in the rural location. We had quite perfect weather and enjoyed our stay, however this was marred by a problem with the access to the farm. We understand that it is primarily a working farm and obviously not purposely geared towards holiday lets. We have stayed on many farms over the years and wouldn't expect it to be perfect but the 'road' leading to the farm is just an extremely rough track and difficult to negotiate with our car. This was not mentioned on the farm website or Farmstay website so we were unprepared - had we known we wouldn't have booked (our car is new!). It's fine if you drive farm machinery or a 4 x 4 but sadly we don't! For this reason we won't be staying here again.

The room I booked online was changed and we weren't informed. In addition the landlady was crisp and said she would not charge us extra for it! We were given a pokey family room with two extra bunkbeds which as a couple we didn't need. The road to the farm was more of a track. The positive was the breakfast. Would not recommend.

We’ve stayed in The Roost for a week in the summer for the last 4 years. Love going back there. Rosemary and her family are really welcoming, the walks around the farm are lovely and it is a perfect spot for exploring the far west of Cornwall. The cream tea in the fridge on arrival is to die for! We wouldn't stay anywhere else!, Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More
