The bathroom plumbing is blocked and stinks of eggs The unnecessary 18 reception staff, are non-existent when you want something, but quite happily in view when you don't, and constantly passing the buck, to "I'm not sure, you need to ask (someone else) they are so rude and constantly lazing around chatting to friends If you have any sort of impairment or disability, all the staff disappear unless you go looking and shouting "hello" then 1 person comes out with a huff, and reluctantly helps The evening meals are very limited (pizza or burger), they are like child portions with Michelin star prices There are lots of takeaway with better menus nearby They are quite happy to override a room lock, walk in and wander around asking you questions about the room, when your just out the shower and naked, which the assistant manager and general manager are quite happy to do, and when you complain, the answer you get is "they did knock the door" The "hot" breakfast is cold, with so much salt you need a gallon of water to dilute it with every mouthful, half the available items are not available and the £9.25 price tag for a breakfast which is missing essential breakfast items is very steep No checks are made when people arrive for breakfast, the tables are not cleaned and reset when a guest leaves, the next guest is expected to clean and clear the tables I've stayed at many budget hotels This is not a budget and doest feel like a hotel, more like your invading someone's house and they don't want you there The bin cupboard contents is in full view and is so dirty and messy, the smell is awful coming in the room, and the look from the window is disgusting I had to keep the window and curtains closed to keep this monstrosity out The room has no air conditioning meaning its hot during the summer or stinks depending whether you have the window open or not People constantly smoking "substances" which leaks into to corridors The staff enter your room when you are out and look through your personal belongings, the evidence is there were latex gloves left behind and my stuff were rummaged and placed in different places This is one hotel that I will never visit again and will say to all to avoid like the plague Something seriously need to be done with cleaning, staff / management attitudes and a significant improvement of the non-existent customer service I cancelled my booking mid-visit, and went to another Travelodge, and the difference is overwhelming The only saving grace is that I went home, I feel so sorry for the ones that have to endure this place for a longer time than I did My advice would be to stay at the hotel 500 yds away, but book early as its so popular

I booked a room for 2 adults and it says to expect a super king size bed with 4 pillows online but on arrival there was only a double bed with 2 pillows. When it was reported to reception, they said that is the same size of bed they have in all theirs rooms. To worsen the case, I called Travelodge customer service on the phone and the guy said that is because I booked a standard room and hung up on me. I called again and he hung up immediately I mentioned the situation, very bad customer service both at the hotel and on the phone. There was no option to book a different room at Woolwich and the room did not meet the specification on the advert. Nearby activities: The only good thing about it is that it has good transport links and shops around but the environment is generally poor. I won't book Woolwich ever again
