Absolutely shocking behaviour displayed by Erica who was aggressive in her attitude and denied she knew her colleagues name. Melissa had been incredibly rude to us earlier. She apologised profusely but then continued her rudeness after we came back to the hotel later. This is a huge disappointment as we had had such an excellent experience staying here in September… what a shame - staff make a huge difference to a business and these ones have had a detrimental impact on the business … Noteworthy details: Total lack of customer care

Rooms: On arrival my bedding had large stains. We only had 1 set of towels despite 2 people sharing the room also had to ask for pillows which again were given to us with dirty cases on . Definitely not value for money never go back again. . Food & drinks: Poor service . We asked waitress for basic info about service times for food. She just said I don't no an put her hand up in my face Breakfast not the best Not very clean either Noteworthy details: Well waiting for a taxi we saw a dog which lived in the hotel urinate opposite the front desk on more than 1 occasion. It was cleaned up using a very dirty old dry mop . No sanitary or cleaning products were used .

Good location close to the A5/M1/A406 with plenty of free car parking but that’s all this hotel has going for it. My room was in dire need of a spruce up with paint flaking and carpet lifting and the bathroom smelled of old damp with the toilet seat half hanging off. The restaurant food was well priced (main and a starter for £12.95) and tasty enough on the Friday night but the next night was pretty grim. Happy hour (4-7 every night) had a limited selection of drinks and it was embarrassing to hear staff get basic drinks orders wrong. One made an espresso martini by putting coffee into a high hall glass, topping it up with martini and adding ice! The nearby Premier Inn is a better choice.

This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Please AVOID this place and spare yourself the disrespect and go to another clean & decent hotel with good customer service. The rooms were dirty upon arrival.. specifically the chair (I’ve taken photos of it) and the carpets not vacuumed. I have spoken to the receptionist downstairs and she was extremely rude and disrespectful the way she spoke when I mentioned the dirt in the room. I’m paying for the room and she has the nerve to speak to me as if she was the one paying for me to sleep there.. ridiculous. These Europeans in the hotel running the place terribly. So unprofessional and do not have manners whatsoever. Especially the ones in reception. Bring new and better staff with outstanding customer service for better customer experience if you want returning guests coz ain’t no way anybody going back there when experienced what I experienced!
