First impression from the car park wasn’t great, mostly due to the messy bin area. Upon entering the room we noted that the carpet was wet throughout, due to recent cleaning. We mentioned to reception. It’s great that carpets are cleaned regularly, however rooms should have an allocated empty period to allow for drying. Above points aside, the room was well equipped and clean. It did the job as a budget stop over. 24/7 Shell and a Greggs next door.

They don't deserve even one star!!! I wanted to cancel my reservation and couldn't go through phone so I went in person and asked for a refund which I was entitled to. Really unhelpful receptionist first told me that she cannot do it but after me telling her that I can not get through to anyone on phone she said that she cancelled the reservation for me Of course she didn't!!!! And I had to contact me bank to get a refund. I don't like to be difficult or leave bad reviews, but this experience just shocked me to see how someone can just lie to your face to go through their working day Shame on you travel Lodge!!!!!!

A267 off of the Boship Roundabout (not the A22 exit as some sat-nav use). Lots of parking including disabled bays near the door, some parking is on uneven ground. Friendly staff, easy to check in and out. Usual Travelodge standard quality in rooms and bathrooms. Good soundproofing as you are near main roads and good blackout curtains as well. 👍🏼 Walkability: Greggs, Costa and Budgens shop on site. As well as fuel station

Rooms: The only room type available was a family room (with two additional temporary beds already made up) but this was fine for my mother and I. There were plenty of clean towels but unfortunately room cleaning had missed the previous occupant's half full milk carton behind the curtain. A good night's sleep in a comfortable albeit basic room. £10 extra for a 2pm late checkout seemed not unreasonable either
