The hotel describes itself as “understated.” We wanted somewhere close to the city centre and with parking. This hotel provides that. You reach the hotel down some very narrow residential streets, keep going when you think you’re lost. There’s a car park at the front and another at the back. We paid for parking, breakfast and wifi on top of the base price. Our room seemed pretty small, there was a small table with a chair and kettle. There was no wardrobe, but there was hanging space beside the table. There were two power points, so we had to juggle devices being powered up and the kettle. There was no bedside table, so I has to leave my watch and spectacles on the floor overnight. The bathroom was ok, not a power shower, but good enough for a morning shower. However, the extraction fan didn’t work and it was smelly at times. Breakfast was ok

The worst Travelodge I've stayed in. Box room, no area on headboard surround to put things, carpet needed vacuuming, dirty walls, old style shower with mold on attachment hook & everything was dated & worn & needed scrubbing.
