Absolutely disgusting reception from the line manager Iwona. My family and I travelled for over 5 hours and when we arrived I left my partner and youngest child 2yrs in the lounge while I and my 4yr old drove around for 30 minutes trying to find parking. When I arrived back with no luck of finding a space I had asked Iwona for a refund as I wouldn't be able to stay and would need to find elsewherefor the night. She was completely rude said it wasn't her fault I couldn't find parking and said I wouldn't be getting a refund for the two nights and breakfast i had already paid for. She refused to give me a number to call when i asked or even any email address. Your stuff needs to be retrained as this is absolutely disgusting and the fact that I've now lost out on money and now even more out of pocket having to pay for another hotel.

My first experience of this hotel was unfortunately an all too common one at Travelodge nowadays. The car park is insecure, difficult to use and requires buying a ticket in an unlit area and then validating this at reception via a dingy, urine sticking lift in the basement. The whole car park and area around the hotel stinks of weed 24/7. Upon arrival at reception I was given a room directly above the main entrance, with it's door immediately opposite the staircase on the first floor. I returned to the reception and requested an alternative room, which was arranged. The rooms were clean but it's difficult to open the windows to ventilate. Tradesmen use the hotel and use the ground floor to park their vans. Many also sat in them during the evening, smoking pot or using phones on loudspeaker, sharing their conversations anyone in the rear facing rooms. I am of the opinion that many of the Travelodges I have stayed at in the last year are unsafe for visitors (especially female), due to unsafe communal areas, including car parks, reception areas and corridors. This is something the company must address, to ensure the most essential part of a guests stay; their safety.

Its a Travel lodge, but we all struggled to get a decent night sleep as the rooms are way too hot - that is the ONLY negative. The staff were great, breakfast was well cooked, fresh, tasty and coffee from the machine much needed. If you only need a clean room with a shower/bath for a night or two - its great, the temperature of the room is possibly as much personal choice - but we all commented on how hot room 234 was (heating was off) but without airflow - very uncomfortable.

Stayed for 3 nights. My daughter and I had a good experience at this hotel. Lovely staff. Our room was clean with no smells. Great location to explore Bournemouth. Bus stop right by the hotel. And 10-15 minutes walk to the beach. It is not a fancy hotel but a great place to stay. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 5/5 … More
