It's baffling why they belittle corruption in the UK, which is actually ENDEMIC - from the local planning process and financial 'underworld' to central government and its corporate connections. It's a country more corrupt than most in Africa, Middle East and Asia once you take account of its role in global finance flows. But this corruption is just so embedded and cleverly hidden behind multiple levels that it's not as visible as countries like Uganda, which actually have less corruption. One would have thought Transparency International would be digging a little deeper - assuming those paying for the digging aren't involved in the dirt...
