I gave up at 2 hours past my appointment time. Was advised up to a 5 hour wait. No point calling 111 for an appointment if you still have to wait hours

Triaged quickly, seen and out the door in under an hour. It's a little confusing what's best to do as the advice seems to change and it's not always updated online. As of 26/8/22, the sign on the doors says to call 111 first to make an appointment. However, I was very unwell and called on the intercom and the nurse was fine with me going in. (I know from having to call for my child that the 111 waiting time can be very long.) Just a shame the unit is not 24 hour any more.
