Fantastic brunch and cake in Shoreditch! I’m a regular at this cafe and think it’s one of the best cafes about. No pretension and the food is fresh, tasty and quick to come out. The portions are generous and ingredients good quality. The peanut pork and Rachel sandwiches are firm favourites of mine, followed by the sublime carrot cake! If you’ve not been, you need to!

Disappointing restaurant. …..very colourful egg to its credit but otherwise a Nono. Ordered a breakfast ….the egg, bacon and cheese bun had one slice of streaky bacon, an over cooked, hard-yolk fried egg and an almost imperceptible smidgen of cheese. The poached eggs on skimpy sourdough were over cooked, barely runny and the sourdough very thinly cut. Two Americanos, barely the size of an espresso, no choice of poached egg on the bun, why ? We commented but our remarks were dismissed…staff apathetic, would not recommend, it’s a pretentious place suitable for those who want to chat over an overpriced coffee and don’t care about the food. I have no doubt that there are regular clients but for tourists, who are persona non grata, don’t bother, we left hungry! This was £20 and for £17 the following day we had a superb breakfast elsewhere, in Barking to be precise, excellent service and good quality ! See my reviews
