We are a family run business and have used trade shutters as our supplier for the last 4 and a half years, a recent install has prompted me to write this review, the customer was over the moon with their new shutters. The house itself was a really awkward shape with lots of odd shape windows as it's a very old property, the shutters that were ordered were a perfect fit and a dream to install, had great service as usual from the tech support team assisting with the drawings etc from start to finish and will be using trade shutters as our supplier for many years to come. Terrible company. Delivery times over running by weeks and weeks with no idea of when they will be in Extra delivery charges added on after shutters have been delivered with no mention of these charges on portal or website. I will not use again. Steer clear of these charlatans. The threatening tone of your response is exactly why my company name is not used. I also have outstanding orders still waiting to be received and my customers who have already been waiting for weeks with no sign of shutters need not know the company supplying them is you. As for addressing the complaint I have spoken by phone twice to customer service and accounts about unfair and unseen charges. But still I receive invoices, even though both admit that there is no charge anywhere on portal during ordering and payment. Lastly I would think the 5 star reviews on here are more than a little suspicious and mischievous as they sound like the company has posted them itself.

Couldn't of been a simpler process from start to finish, talking of finish the end result was outstanding, my home has been transformed by the shutters installed. 5 star without question

I would really like to give this company a good review but I'm afraid I can't. Nearly 5 weeks delay for order. Managing Director,Jason actually said I would have to collect order myself if I wanted it earlier! He doesn't take constructive criticism well and constantly interrupts. Will I use again? ... No. Do I recommend? ... Absolutely Not. Update as of 23/07/2018 reply to MD Dear Jason Oh dear, what a response from the managing director of the company. However, I do stand by my comments. Let me add detail for you as I would hope you are able to track emails and the content of the numerous phone calls I have made: 1. We placed our order in March 2018, lead time stated 8-10 weeks. Nothing arrived in this timeframe, no correspondence received from your company 2. We continually checked online and the message was âforwardingâ meaning it is still at sea 3. We received an email addressed to âNewbury Shuttersâ, not us, that mentioned an order was being delivered on the 26th June, date of email was 25th June 4. As I mentioned to your staff on the 26th June we were offsite in an area without mobile reception. Had we received reasonable notice we could certainly have organised to accept the delivery. Our first knowledge of the missed delivery was via a text from your driver 5. I called and spoke to various members of your staff to agree a new delivery date, hopefully you may have recordings of these calls to confirm that your company agreed to deliver Thursday 28th June in order we could at last honour the reset date to our customer. Sadly the order did not arrive 6. I called numerous times Friday 29th June only for the landline to transfer to a mobile number which was not available. It was frustrating when we spoke to hear everyone in the company was assisting in the loading bay, therefore absolutely zero staff manning phones to assist with any form of customer service 7. In a phone call from a female member of your staff Friday afternoon, she confirmed our order would arrive between 08.30-09.00 on Tuesday 3rd July. I asked if there was an opportunity to get a weekend special delivery organised, but was promptly told no. You are quite happy for a customer to travel 6 hours round trip to collect, which I am sure many customers will agree is not a viable or relevant suggestion I am afraid 8. Finally I received a call on Monday morning to say the driver was ill and therefore another member of staff would deliver our order later that day, a very lucky break that I was actually working from home, or we could have found ourselves in another difficult position as the arrangement was for the Tuesday We do still have one order with you. Could I request a little more notice of when the order is likely to be delivered please. I am sorry my review does not meet with your approval, but perhaps a learning curve for Trade Shutters UK in managing customerâs expectations going forwards.
