  Bruce transformed our 6 yo cockapoo who had become anxious when we left the house. She had previously been well behaved but WFH during the pandemic had made her accustomed to constant close company. She had started to urinate upstairs having never had any problems before. Bruce spent almost 5 hours with us and instantly there was an improvement. He reviewed everything from diet to teeth cleaning as well as the anxiety and I’m delighted to say that two weeks later we have a transformed and very happy dog. I heartily recommend Bruce. He clearly knows his stuff, his advice is grounded in research and his primary objective is to help the owner have a happy healthy well behaved dog.

  BEWARE. Bruce will use traumatic methods and put people's safety at risk. He offers short term guarantees. ( he guaranteed to 'cure' my dog of aggressive bite reactivity in 2-3 hours - I should have run a mile 😔) I spent over £1000 and after 7 hours my dog was not 'cured'. His responses here to the other negative reviews tell you a lot about this man. I will never forgive myself for believing him. My dog had reactive bite aggressiveness caused by non-existant socialisation during his puppy hood. It was very unpredictable. Many times he was fine but sometimes he wasn't. Bruce stopped me when I was walking him and told me he could cure him in 2-3 hours and guaranteed this. Confidently telling me he's the top UK dog whisperer. I thought I'd give him a go. 'What harm can it do?' I thought 😭. Well 7 hours later and all my savings gone there was some apparent improvement. But Bruce had merely given my dog a 'baptism of fire' by coming into the house, unfazed. Dog was going crazy, muzzled, very frightened, trying to attack him. Bruce held him by the scruff of his neck while my dog was screaming. Which was awful to witness. I was in tears. I will never forgive myself for not stopping him right there and then. But I believed that he knew what he was doing. Completely taken in by all the glowing reviews I'd read and his best dog behaviourist awards. Bruce waited for him to calm down held him, stroked him etc and then it was all high value treats. That's the method. Desenstisation then tons of treats. Bruce then allowed my bite-risk dog to run free, unmuzzled, in a busy park with lots of children. I was absolutely quaking inside but I still believed he knew what he was doing. Then we just went up to strangers and dogs, as many as possible. To presumably teach my dog that it was nothing to get anxious about. I then had to carry this on. The problem was my dog was always unpredictable, and that remained. But now I was putting strangers safety at risk. We had a a couple of bite and near bite incidents and I'd lost faith in Bruce. His method lacked substance and any true psychological understanding of my dog. My dog, my companion for the last 6 years, has now had to be put down. I hold Bruce partly responsible for this. I am mortified that I let him into our lives and horrified at what I allowed him to do to my dog.

  PLEASE BEWARE of this MAN (a number of his victims have now come together and are filing a police report against him) ****I have WON**** my civil court case against him and I am now sending the bailiffs to collect money he stole from me. A number of his victims are putting a report together to file criminal proceedings against him now. I had a very bad experience with Bruce Clanford. He attended one visit and fed my dogs so many treats that they were sick that evening. He did not come back for the following session that I stupidly paid him upfront for and did not answer my calls. I have seen on these reviews that he has also done this to other people. He kept fobbing me off avoiding my calls. He conned me out of money and I would urge people to beware.

  Bruce came to us to help with my Rottweiler Bella who literally use to drag me down the road and that was using a halti, with in about 15 minutes Bruce had her walking to heel and made her wait by his side such a transformation in one session and I am now able to walk her on her collar with her by my side, absolutely amazing best money very well spent Bruce was amazing

  The man is a genius. We have 3 German shepherds that were very miss behaved and naughty within minutes of Bruce arriving they was like different dogs. Taking them for a walk we would have to do them one by one as they would fight on the lead Bruce had them all walking to heal next to each other no fighting at all. Can't wait for the next visit

  The prices listed on the website are very different from the fees he charges. He claimed at the end of our lengthy session that his standard rate was £245 per hour, and forced me to make a bank transfer to him there and then (I was female alone in the house, he is a large man). Most of our session was spent in the car between locations. When in the park he spent a lot of time touting for business from anyone we passed and pressuring them to give them his phone number. I felt really uncomfortable about the whole experience, and felt he was really only interested in getting as much money as possible. He had refused to tell me his rate in advance, and has still never sent any paperwork. It all felt a bit dodgy and unprofessional.

  Very disappointed for the trainers time management. He was late for our first appointment for one and half hours so I had to cancel it. The second time, he made me wait for one and a half hours again!! It is ridiculous. In addition, he didn't reply to messages and phone calls when I tried to find out how soon he could arrive. Newly added: I didn't receive any message about the accident of the dog and I am 100% sure about it.
