On arrival Kashif left us with the key to have a look properly on our own, no pushy sales techniques, and then took me for a test drive, answering any questions I had but not trying to force me into a sale as I’ve experienced with other dealerships.     It is said that the key to any successful business is customer service and the key to an exceptional business, is exceptional customer service. I recently purchased a car from Touchwood Motors, via AutoTrader and, from start to finish, have to say their service, help, assistance and advice was truly exceptional. Shortly after collecting the car a previously unknown issue developed and Touchwood were more than happy to immediately carry out the remedial work. At no time did they “argue the toss”, nor seek to distance themselves from the issue, in fact quite the contrary, they were genuinely upset that the issue had developed and at the inconvenience I experienced as a result. Unfortunately, following the work carried out to correct the issue it became apparent that there was possibly something more fundamentally wrong with the car, as the issue returned and, although Touchwood Motors offered to cover the cost of “whatever work necessary” to correct it at a garage local to me (I live 150 miles away), I decided to return the car and seek a refund. It has been my experience in the past, that when you mention the word “refund” to a motor dealer it is a bit like saying the same to Inland Revenue and you can look forward to weeks, or even months, of procrastination and hassle! Not so with Touchwood Motors. They were quick to understand my position and returned the full purchase price without argument or trying to reduce the amount. Was I happy that the car turned out to be faulty? Of course not. Was I happy with how the issue was dealt with and the resulting outcome? Perfectly. Would I buy from Touchwood Motors in the future? Absolutely! If you want exceptional customer service from a company prepared to “go the extra mile” to make sure you are happy when buying a car, then I recommend you give Touchwood a call.
