Popped into this Swedish icon. The original shop in London for all things Swedish and edible! This shop has been around before all things scandi was trendy. I’ve been getting my Swedish fill here since the 90s. As far as I know this is the only shop/s (one in Barnes too) providing exclusively Swedish fare in London. My most treasured purchases this time around was the Stilton cheese puffs (think posh wotsits with a Stilton twang) and sliced sausage that has this deep smoky flavour with a hint of juniper. To.Die.For. This used to be a childhood treat. Yes it wasn’t glamours and high end in the deep forest of the north of Sweden… I bought lots of other things too. Swedish sweets deserves your curiosity… If you are around Baker Street, Edgware Road or Marble Arch this place deserves a visit.

I have never ever ever in my life met a nice woman like the woman I just met. I wish I got her name but I think she is the owner. It was 5 minutes past the closing time and the door was lock and she still let me in. She was very lovely god bless her. We need more kind people like her!

I came in with an obscure query, poorly describing an Icelandic buttery product that is impossible to describe. Within minutes the lovely shopkeeper had located the Norwegian version of this buttery product. I have had it on my toast this morning and feel so happy to have located this. Thanks so much!
