Having recently been bitten by the golf bug, I decided to join my local club, Torquay Golf Club. As a relative beginner, like most you assume that golf should be an easy game to play. How wrong can you be! I decided to take lessons with Andrew Place who is one of the PGA Professionals at the club. Andrew has been marvelous, and quickly identified several aspects of my play that I would have consistently struggled with, if not shown what I was doing wrong, and how to correct it. He provides sounds practical guidance that I relate to and can then use with more consistency. My handicap is slowly getting lower, and I am not getting frustrated by doing simple things wrong.
